Download and Install
1. Download the latest version at the above link.
2. Create a folder where you want the program to go. Ex. c:\program files\starcraft\scmu\
3. Extract all files from SCMU v1.3.zip into the new folder.
4. Create a shortcut on your desktop for SCMU v1.3.exe.
Please note that SCMU will always be packaged as a .zip file.
Angelfarto.com is the official home of SCMU.
Do not accept imitations.
Use
1. Double click SCMU v1.3.exe or the shortcut you created to open the program. A splash screen will appear. (You may press a key or click to skip this.)
2. Drag-and-drop an .scx/.scm file into the main window of SCMU. Or select 'Open' from the File menu. (Empty black areas are best to drop into)
3. The map-name will load, along with any colors or overlaps it contains.
4. SCMU will tell you if this map is compatible already (or not) with a check mark or an X.
5. If it is not compatible, remove any characters that appear PINK in the map name. (These are overlaps or invisible, which make your map un-playable for multiplayer on BattleNet.)
6. SCMU should now show a Check mark
7. Correct spacing, take out extra letters, add colors or whatever else you want to do to make the map name look nice.
8. File->Save the map. This will not overwrite the original map. It will add "@1.14" to the end of the filename when saving.
9. You can now create a BattleNet game with the @1.14 map and players will be able to join!

Pink characters make your map unplayable

Edited map name, that is playable online
Why?
- SCMU was created for the purpose of defeating the evil effects that Blizzard's (now practically infamous) BroodWar Patch 1.14 had on many UMS games and gamers.
- 1.14, as it's commonly called, disabled any multi-play capablility that a map with a lapped map name had. (Yet you can still play these maps alone).
- This program allows you to UN-lap maps (even protected ones, though it will not remove the protection) so they can be played multiplayer once again.
- See below for complete feature list and version history.
- SCMU is always expanding, and your feedback is welcome. If you find a problem, or a map that cant be unlapped, give me an email: angelfarto at yahoo.com
- For you map authors, SCMU is a useful tool just to get rid of that stupid red lettering on your lapped unit names (even if your map is unlapped!). Just make sure "Fix Invisible" is checked (it is by default) and save the map.

(note: Edit the map name slightly in order to save the map)
